Theo is a Belgian house from Antwerp that has been making frames that defy expectations since 1989. Basket combines two materials in one rim: metal and an acetate arc in a contrasting colour.

A Belgian house from Antwerp. The first theo glasses appeared in 1989, made by two opticians, Wim Somers and Patrick Hoet, each of whom ran his own shop. The name is an anagram of Hoet: THEO from HOET. The house makes deliberately wilful shapes and works with unusual materials - acetate, titanium, steel and aluminium, often in one frame.
