Beauty that is not conventional
Rigards was nominated for the Silmo d'Or in the sunglasses category in 2017. The house says it is drawn to aesthetics not considered conventionally beautiful, and that its designs draw on the textures and patterns formed by nature.
„We carry it in Antique Titanium, with salmon lenses. The frame can take prescription lenses as well.“

Rigards
The house was founded in Hong Kong in 2012 by Ti Kwa, a Malaysian-born designer, and Jean-Marc Virard. The frames are made by hand in their Hong Kong atelier, from buffalo horn, wood, titanium, copper, silver and aluminium-magnesium alloy. Each piece passes through the hands of one artisan, from choosing the material to the final polish.
