A frame made by laser sintering
MYLON is the MYKITA polyamide-based material, shaped by 3D printing - selective laser sintering, layer by layer. It is exceptionally light and durable. In Kolding, MYLON is combined with stainless steel, and the frame is finished by hand in Berlin.

Mykita
A Berlin house founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krüger. The name comes from its first premises - a former day nursery, which Germans call a "Kita" for short. The frames are still hand-assembled in Berlin, in their own workshop, because when they started nobody would manufacture what they had drawn. The house signature is a patented screwless spiral hinge, in stainless steel half a millimetre thick.
