The spiral hinge without screws

Air titanium, the house's first line from the mid-eighties, introduced the spiral hinge without screws or rivets. It was part of the rimless eyewear concept LINDBERG created with the architects Dissing+Weitling. The air titanium rim collection carries that line on as a titanium wire frame in the spirit of functionalism: no excess decoration.

Lindberg

A Danish house from Aarhus. Poul-Jørn Lindberg opened an optician's shop there in 1969. It gave rise to a screwless spiral hinge in titanium: the first prototype was made in 1983 and it went on sale in 1986. Since 2021 the house has been owned by the Kering group.
