Reduced to comfort

LITE is the MYKITA collection of reduced design, made so a frame stays comfortable all day. The frames are crafted from circular materials: a slender acetate front, stainless steel temples, acetate temple ends and the MYKITA spiral hinge. Every pair is assembled by hand in Berlin.

Mykita

A Berlin house founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krüger. The name comes from its first premises - a former day nursery, which Germans call a "Kita" for short. The frames are still hand-assembled in Berlin, in their own workshop, because when they started nobody would manufacture what they had drawn. The house signature is a patented screwless spiral hinge, in stainless steel half a millimetre thick.
