The spiral hinge and an acetate inner rim

Air titanium, the house's first line from the mid-eighties, introduced the spiral hinge without screws or rivets, as part of a concept LINDBERG created with the architects Dissing+Weitling. The air titanium rim collection carries that line on as a titanium wire frame, and styles with an acetate inner rim gain a stronger appearance while keeping all the benefits of wire frame eyewear.

„We carry both colours: teal with a dark petroleum inner rim and navy with a dark havana inner rim.“

Lindberg

A Danish house from Aarhus. Poul-Jørn Lindberg opened an optician's shop there in 1969. It gave rise to a screwless spiral hinge in titanium: the first prototype was made in 1983 and it went on sale in 1986. Since 2021 the house has been owned by the Kering group.
