The boldness of the sixties
Cutler and Gross says the avant-garde boldness of 60s style informed the geometry of the 1422. The frame is handcrafted in the house atelier over 255 hours, in a limited production of 350 frames.

Cutler and Gross
A London house founded in 1969 by two opticians, Graham Cutler and Tony Gross. They opened their first shop in Knightsbridge in 1971. There is no marking on the outside of the frames - a decision from the start. The frames are made in the brand's own factory in Domegge di Cadore, Italy, and part of the range in Japan; in acetate, titanium and buffalo horn.
