A ribbon in the temple

Three-dimensional ribbons are one of the signatures of Bottega Veneta eyewear. On BV1465S the ribbon is enclosed in the metal temple, and the spoiler on the side of the frame shares the section of the temple, with facets that echo the house signature.

„We carry the gold colour with a brown lens; under the shop lights the mirror is barely visible.“

Bottega Veneta

An Italian house founded in Vicenza in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. It is known for soft leather bags without a logo and for the Intrecciato woven leather technique, introduced in 1975. It is headquartered in Milan, with its main atelier in a villa near Montebello, close to Vicenza. Part of the Kering group, it has been led by creative director Louise Trotter since January 2025. Since 2015 Bottega Veneta eyewear has been developed and distributed by Kering Eyewear; before that it was made under licence by Safilo.
