Ribbons at the corner

Three-dimensional metal ribbons are one of the signatures of Bottega Veneta eyewear: the detail rises above the acetate and gives the frame depth. On BV1189S they are layered and gold, placed exactly where the oval front meets the temple.

„We carry the shiny black colour with a solid grey lens.“

Bottega Veneta

An Italian house founded in Vicenza in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. It is known for soft leather bags without a logo and for the Intrecciato woven leather technique, introduced in 1975. It is headquartered in Milan, with its main atelier in a villa near Montebello, close to Vicenza. Part of the Kering group, it has been led by creative director Louise Trotter since January 2025. Since 2015 Bottega Veneta eyewear has been developed and distributed by Kering Eyewear; before that it was made under licence by Safilo.
