Kate, the house cat-eye

Kate is one of the signature shapes of Saint Laurent eyewear: a sharp cat-eye with lifted corners. The house makes it both as sunglasses and as an optical frame, and there is also a slimmer version, Kate Thin.

„We carry the havana frame with grey lenses - a dark tortoiseshell that looks calmer with grey lenses than the black version.“

Saint Laurent

A Paris fashion house founded in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. In 1966 it introduced the women's tuxedo and Rive Gauche, the first luxury ready-to-wear line. Since 2012 the ready-to-wear has carried the Saint Laurent name, and the house is part of the Kering group. Anthony Vaccarello was creative director from 2016 to October 2026. Since 2015 Saint Laurent eyewear has been developed and distributed by Kering Eyewear; before that it was made under licence by Safilo.
