Imperfect perfection

Boris Bidjan Saberi and Rigards describe the frame as imperfect perfection. Most of the work went into making the shields easy to take off and put back while keeping the frame elastic and stable. Once removed, the shields can be worn as a pendant on a chain. The model was released in June 2023.

„The side shields detach, so the glasses can be worn with or without them. The house supplies two pairs of lenses with the model, dark grey and light grey.“

Rigards

The house was founded in Hong Kong in 2012 by Ti Kwa, a Malaysian-born designer, and Jean-Marc Virard. The frames are made by hand in their Hong Kong atelier, from buffalo horn, wood, titanium, copper, silver and aluminium-magnesium alloy. Each piece passes through the hands of one artisan, from choosing the material to the final polish.
