Metal folded like origami

NO1 frames are cut from flat stainless steel sheet, then bent and folded in a way close to the Japanese principle of origami, until they become a three-dimensional object - with no welding or soldering of parts.

Matte black is the most neutral colour in the NO1 range - it pairs with almost anything.

Mykita

A Berlin house founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krüger. The name comes from its first premises - a former day nursery, which Germans call a "Kita" for short. The frames are still hand-assembled in Berlin, in their own workshop, because when they started nobody would manufacture what they had drawn. The house signature is a patented screwless spiral hinge, in stainless steel half a millimetre thick.
