A weave in the temple

Intrecciato is the leather weave Bottega Veneta has been known for since its founding in Vicenza in 1966. On BV1442S the house carries it over to eyewear: the pattern is embossed into the metal core of the temple.

Bottega Veneta

An Italian house founded in Vicenza in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. It is known for soft leather bags without a logo and for the Intrecciato woven leather technique, introduced in 1975. It is headquartered in Milan, with its main atelier in a villa near Montebello, close to Vicenza. Part of the Kering group, it has been led by creative director Louise Trotter since January 2025. Since 2015 Bottega Veneta eyewear has been developed and distributed by Kering Eyewear; before that it was made under licence by Safilo.
