Anne & Valentin Balloon

Balloon frames are maximalist, worn like accessories or jewels, with expressions that vary from model to model and colour to colour. The concept is all acetate, with a distinctive spherical “balloon” hinge in titanium. The frames are pop yet chic, openly nodding to the '70s: resin dots on the fronts and temple tips, rounded backs to the fronts, and temples where volumes and lines invert - flat becomes rounded, rounded becomes flat. The house pays tribute to Iris Apfel with the concept.

„Bop comes in six colours; we carry 24A16, dark green with cream temples.“

Anne & Valentin

A French house from Toulouse. It grew out of a couple of opticians' wish to make unusual, graphic glasses for their friends. They have worked with the same factories in the Jura, in eastern France, for over twenty years, and make their titanium frames in Japan.
