A Paris fashion house founded in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. In 1966 it introduced the women's tuxedo and Rive Gauche, the first luxury ready-to-wear line. Since 2012 the ready-to-wear has carried the Saint Laurent name, and the house is part of the Kering group. Anthony Vaccarello was creative director from 2016 to October 2026. Since 2015 Saint Laurent eyewear has been developed and distributed by Kering Eyewear; before that it was made under licence by Safilo.

The cat-eye and the corner
Since 2015 Saint Laurent eyewear has been developed by Kering Eyewear, the Kering group company founded in 2014 and based near Padua. The eyewear no longer goes through a licence: it is designed within the group and made with leading manufacturers and in its own production sites.
The cat-eye is the shape by which the house's eyewear is recognised, and the metal corner on the front of the frame gives it a sharp, architectural line. The Spring-Summer 2026 collection brings voluminous shapes in acetate and metal, 90s pilot frames with a double bridge and refined new versions of Betty and Sulpice.
Bella Hadid in Saint Laurent Eyewear
The Fall-Winter 2024 eyewear campaign was led by Bella Hadid, alongside Rosé and other faces of the house. Under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, the house showed its classic codes in a contemporary way: round acetate frames and squared combi designs, with the signature metal corner and the Saint Laurent logo.
