Eight sides in titanium

An octagonal shape is harder to execute in metal than in acetate, since every angle has to stay sharp and even - the Timir-T does it in titanium, a material that is harder to cut than acetate.

The tortoise Takiron insert breaks up the monochrome black front without taking away from its seriousness.

Sato

A Paris house founded in 2022 by Kevin Godart-Elbaz - owner of the Paris optical boutique Marbeuf Optique - and Jérémie Gamon, formerly of Edmond de Rothschild. In just three years it reached more than 250 stores worldwide. A house working in micro-runs: every collection is numbered, between 222 and 400 pieces per colourway, with the number engraved on the temple. The aesthetic is the nineties read strictly - clean lines, architectural detail, no ornament. The frames are handmade in Fukui, Japan, from titanium, platinum and Japanese acetate.
