Reduced to the essentials

LITE is MYKITA's collection of reduced design: as little material as possible, as much comfort as possible. The frames are made from circular steel, by hand in Berlin.

„Thin shiny steel and a green lens - discreet sunglasses that go with everything. So light you barely feel them.“

Mykita

A Berlin house founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krüger. The name comes from its first premises - a former day nursery, which Germans call a "Kita" for short. The frames are still hand-assembled in Berlin, in their own workshop, because when they started nobody would manufacture what they had drawn. The house signature is a patented screwless spiral hinge, in stainless steel half a millimetre thick.
