Silhouettes from past decades

The DECADES collection translates eyewear shapes from retro to radical into modern constructions. The frames are made from circular steel, by hand in Berlin.

„The low 42 mm lens gives a narrow, elongated oval look. The green lens keeps colours natural.“

Mykita

A Berlin house founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krüger. The name comes from its first premises - a former day nursery, which Germans call a "Kita" for short. The frames are still hand-assembled in Berlin, in their own workshop, because when they started nobody would manufacture what they had drawn. The house signature is a patented screwless spiral hinge, in stainless steel half a millimetre thick.
