Acetate in a steel frame

In the acetate-ring frames the steel carries the strength and the acetate brings the colour. Since 2014 MYKITA design, engineering and assembly have shared one roof at the MYKITA HAUS in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

„We carry colour A94 Storm Grey/Grey Gradient.“

Mykita

A Berlin house founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krüger. The name comes from its first premises - a former day nursery, which Germans call a "Kita" for short. The frames are still hand-assembled in Berlin, in their own workshop, because when they started nobody would manufacture what they had drawn. The house signature is a patented screwless spiral hinge, in stainless steel half a millimetre thick.
