From Ratner's

A Ratner's regular, Sol, the second Moscot generation, would often pop over for a bite at his favourite eatery. Thanks to Genevieve, the colourful hostess in colourful glasses, he always left with a belly full of blintzes, ready for the afternoon rush.

Moscot

A New York family house. Hyman Moscot arrived through Ellis Island in 1899 and began selling ready-made glasses from a wooden pushcart on Orchard Street. He opened the first shop in 1915, at 94 Rivington Street. The family still runs it - the fifth generation. The model names come from Yiddish and from people in the family.
