Temples that look like several frames

The I01's front stays quiet and single-toned, but the temples are built from several cut and reassembled pieces of acetate in different colours — each part keeping its own thickness and rhythm, so it reads like a few different frames fused into one.

The hinge detail reads best up close — worth checking the profile, not just the front.

Kuboraum

A Berlin house founded in 2012 by Livio Graziottin, a designer, and Sergio Eusebi, an anthropologist. They do not call their frames glasses but masks - an object that both protects and accentuates, and lets you play with your several identities. The acetate is hand-carved and heat-treated. Dreamed in Berlin, handmade in Italy.
