When a mask reads as a visor

The wide single-piece lens and short temples borrow from sport optics — a shape Kuboraum rarely uses, since the house is better known for acetate masks than metal visors like this one.

Works as a daily pick for someone who finds classic masks too decorative.

Kuboraum

A Berlin house founded in 2012 by Livio Graziottin, a designer, and Sergio Eusebi, an anthropologist. They do not call their frames glasses but masks - an object that both protects and accentuates, and lets you play with your several identities. The acetate is hand-carved and heat-treated. Dreamed in Berlin, handmade in Italy.
