Première de Cartier is the line with which Cartier pays tribute to its collections of the 1980s, with the gadroon motif as a signature of the Maison. CT0577S adds a soft rimless rectangular shape to this bold line, carrying the gadroon onto the lens edge and the hinge.

Cartier
A Paris house founded in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier. It has made eyewear only since the 1980s - the first collection appeared in 1983, with the Vendôme and Must models, in gold, platinum and buffalo horn. The Santos carries screws taken from the bezel of the watch of the same name, made in 1904 for the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, a friend of Louis Cartier.
