About the brand

A Paris house founded in 2022 by Kevin Godart-Elbaz, owner of the Paris optician Marbeuf Optique, and Jérémie Gamon. The frames are designed in Paris and handmade in Fukui, Japan, from titanium, platinum and Japanese acetate. Every collection is numbered and limited, between 222 and 400 pieces per colour, with an aesthetic that looks back to the nineties.

Made in Fukui

Sato makes its frames in Fukui, the centre of Japanese eyewear production, where most Japanese frames are made.

Titanium is hard to work. The world's first titanium frame was made in Fukui, in 1981.

Names from the sky

Sato names its models after stars: Acamar, Toliman, Altaïr, Naos, Elnath. Terebellum is a group of four stars in Sagittarius.
