About the brand
A German house that has handmade eyewear under the Maybach name since 2010, from a family company in the Eifel. Each frame joins titanium, plated in 22 or 24-karat gold, platinum or palladium, with buffalo horn and fine woods. The name comes from Wilhelm Maybach, whose cars became the measure of luxury more than a century ago, and is carried onto frames today under licence from Mercedes-Benz.

Horn is not poured
Every frame is made by hand in Germany. Buffalo horn and wood arrive as plates: the craftsman picks a piece by its grain, cuts it, grinds and polishes it on the wheel until it shines, then fits it into a titanium frame. No two pieces of horn share a grain, so no two pairs are the same.
The metal is titanium, plated in 22 or 24-karat gold, platinum or palladium. Sun models carry ZEISS lenses or lenses made to order for Maybach. The rarest models are made from solid 18-karat gold, to order and with an engraved serial number.
A name that binds
More than a century ago Wilhelm Maybach laid the foundation of a car marque that became a legend from the start. Today Mercedes-Benz presents its cars under that name as Mercedes-Maybach, and a family company from the Eifel carries it onto eyewear under licence. The frame follows the same language: handwork, rare materials and detail that does not insist.
